COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct 4, 2001 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Two customers filed a class action lawsuit today against Central-Ohio based Ricart auto dealerships. Ricart advertises itself as the world's largest auto dealer. The lawsuit, filed in Franklin County Common Pleas Court in Columbus, alleges that Ricart routinely engages in false and misleading representations to customers in order to get them to buy new and used cars, using standardized consumer forms or procedures, including telling customers that credit approval had already been obtained or that credit and financing is available, which may not be true. Ricart sells more than 35,000 automobiles per year. The complaint seeks class action status for all purchasers of new or used automobiles over a four-year period.
